AHC Oppervlaktetechnieken BV with production sites in Eindhoven and Venlo, is part of Aalberts Industries Material Technology. Within AIMT the forces of surface treatment and heat treatment have been combined. Through intensive cooperation a comprehensive range of processes and treatments is available, covering all aspects of surface technology. The whole AIMT group consists out of 54 European sites, of which 4 are situated in the Netherlands. The other Dutch AIMT sites are H&ST Heat and Surface Treatment B.V. in Eindhoven and Mamesta B.V. in Lomm.

Functional layers

The functionality of industrial products is becoming more and more demanding, In this regard surface treatment is an important key technique. Surface treatment is not only applied to improve corrosion resistance - by applying the correct techniques, properties like wear resistance, corrosion resistance, brazing, anti-reflection, non-stick, roughness, electric conductivity, hardness and chemical resistance, can all be greatly improved.

Chemical / Anodic layer

Through galvanic, chemical or anodic methods layers are applied to the surface of the substrate. The right combination of preparation, pre-treatment, chemical process, heat treatment and/or mechanical after-treatment can significantly improve the properties of the product.

Layers with polymers

By combining these layers of surface treatment with polymers, surfaces with unique properties are created. These are layers which provide very special characteristics in the field of anti-friction, non-stick and corrosions resistance. Layers with polymers are i.e. GLISS-COAT®, TUFRAM® and NEDOX® layers.
