TUFRAM® layers are created during a multi step process on aluminium and aluminium alloys.
The combination of the hardness of the ceramic aluminium oxide produced by the HART-COAT® process with the protection of the impregnated polymer, gives the surface of the product exceptional properties.
TUFRAM® improves the wear resistance, hardness and corrosion resistance of aluminium parts. The different parameters like porosity, layer thickness, impregnation time, type of polymer define the specific property of the end layer.
Within the TUFRAM® range there are several application possibilities, most of which are suitable for application in the food industry.
